Our Story

Healthy Living Spaces – Founder Narelle McDonald

I am a qualified Building Biologist and Feng Shui Consultant. I completed my initial studies in both subjects with the Australian College of Environmental Studies (ACES), which provides the most comprehensive training in Australia and is the only college to offer Government accreditation. I have continued my studies with Vic Ketis, Master Raymond Lo and George Bennis. I have also studied Holistic Counselling, Geomancy, Space Clearing and Chinese Astrology. I am currently completing my Advanced Diploma in Building Biology with ACES.

I am a mother of 2 small children and their overall health is extremely important to me. I was overwhelmed when I initially began studying Building Biology and realized the sheer amount of chemicals and environmental toxins that our children are exposed to today, more so now then any other time in history. We can’t control everything but we can control our own home environments.

I believe every positive change we make no matter how small can have far reaching and long lasting impacts on the environments where we live and spend so much of our time. Providing safe and supportive sleeping spaces to allow the body to heal and regenerate from our modern world is so important. To make safe and healthy choices for your family contact Healthy Living Spaces to organise a consultation.

Most people believe that the products available on our supermarket shelves have been rigorously tested for any harmful health effects. Unfortunately this is not the case with most of these industries such as the cosmetics industry being self-regulated. While the argument remains that concentration limits are low, so therefore deemed safe, given the amount of chemicals now in common use there is no way the synergy of this cocktail of chemicals could be taken into account. If you can’t pronounce these ingredients and need a chemical degree to interpret, then I would recommend you reassess the products you are using.

Healthy Living Spaces can provide consultations, advice and solutions for homes, schools and workplaces. Please see our Services Page for more information

My passion is to provide information, practical solutions and healthy alternatives to empower you to make the right choices for you and your family to enhance your overall wellbeing and create environments that nourish and support you. By becoming educated consumers and making practical and sustainable changes you can bring about health and harmony for you and your family.
